Beauty is one of the few Amazon categories still growing at double digits, and accessories sit right at the center of that growth. Brushes, lash kits, press-on nails, hair tools, LED masks and facial devices are low-ticket, highly visual, and easy to buy on impulse, which is exactly the kind of product Amazon and social commerce reward.
The flip side is crowding. More brands, more K-beauty entrants, more ad spend and a discovery layer increasingly run by AI assistants mean the old playbook of a keyword-stuffed listing and steady bids no longer holds.
This guide brings together the most reliable 2025 and 2026 statistics on Amazon beauty accessories and the moves sellers should make before Q4.
How We Sourced These Statistics
Every figure in this article comes from independent research firms (NielsenIQ, Circana, McKinsey & Company, Numerator), Amazon's own public disclosures, or published market research reports. We excluded data published by Amazon agencies and seller software vendors, which is often drawn from client portfolios. Where forecasts disagree, we say so.
Amazon Beauty Accessories Statistics at a Glance
How Big Is the Beauty Accessories Market in 2026?
Beauty accessories cover a wide range of products: makeup applicators and brushes, false lashes, artificial nails, hair styling tools, and at-home skin devices. Market sizing depends heavily on which of these a firm includes.
Fortune Business Insights values the global beauty tools market at $76.33 billion in 2026, growing to $117.29 billion by 2034 at a 5.52% CAGR. Haircare tools are the largest segment, while skincare and makeup tools are projected to grow fastest as facial rollers, LED therapy devices and cleansing brushes gain mainstream adoption.
Narrower segments are growing faster. Research and Markets sizes the makeup tools market at $3.43 billion in 2026, up from $3.15 billion in 2025, and projects $4.78 billion by 2030 at an 8.7% CAGR, citing rising online purchases of cosmetic tools as a key driver.
A note on forecasts: published "beauty tools" estimates range from under $20 billion to over $90 billion, depending on whether hair tools and skin devices are included. The direction is consistent even when totals are not: Market Research Future projects facial tools as the fastest-growing product type (8.07% CAGR) and online retail as the fastest-growing channel (8.48% CAGR) through 2035.
How Much of US Beauty Now Runs Through Amazon?
More than any other retailer. According to NielsenIQ's State of Beauty 2026 report, US beauty and personal care reached $123.7 billion over the 52 weeks ending November 2025, up 11%. Online accounted for 47% of that spend and grew 21.4%, while in-store grew just 3.1%.

Amazon's lead widens during peak season. In the 2025 Cyber 5 period, Amazon captured 41.6% of US beauty e-commerce sales, up 6.8 points year over year.
McKinsey's 2026 State of Beauty report adds that four retailers (Amazon, Ulta Beauty, Sephora and TikTok) now make up just under half of the US beauty market, and that Amazon and TikTok's combined core beauty sales could surpass Sephora and Ulta's this year. Globally, e-commerce is already the largest beauty channel at 28% of sales.
The base market is healthy too: Circana reports US prestige and mass beauty each grew 7% in the first half of 2026, to $17.1 billion and $39.2 billion.
Which Beauty Accessory Segments Are Growing Fastest on Amazon?
1. At-Home Skin Care Devices
Skin care appliances were the fastest-growing skin care segment in the US, up 27.3% in dollars and 49.3% in units, according to NielsenIQ. That unit gap signals more affordable devices reaching more buyers. McKinsey notes LED masks, radio frequency tools and at-home laser treatments are gaining popularity as consumers look for clinic-style results at home.
2. Hair Tools and Hair Accessories
Hair tools gained 1.9 points of household penetration in NielsenIQ's latest data, and hair care grew from 26.1% to 29.6% of beauty sales during Cyber 5. Circana reports that hair is the only prestige beauty category where online accounts for the majority of spending, and prestige hair care grew 11% in the first half of 2026.
3. Press-On Nails and False Lashes
Circana data shows artificial nails were the fastest-growing nail category in 2025 and, for the first time, outsold traditional polish. False eyelashes and accessories ranked among the top-selling beauty categories on TikTok Shop, per NielsenIQ, and that social demand routinely flows into Amazon branded search.
4. Makeup Tools, Sets and Kits
Circana found that prestige makeup grew 4% in 2025, led by makeup sets and lip products. Shoppers are buying routines rather than single items, which favors bundled brush sets, applicator kits and gift-ready packs.
How Are Shoppers Discovering Beauty Accessories in 2026?
AI Shopping Assistants Are Becoming the Front Door
Amazon disclosed that Rufus was used by 300 million customers in 2025 and drove nearly $12 billion in incremental annualized sales. Shoppers who use it are 60% more likely to complete a purchase, and monthly active users rose 115% year over year in Q1 2026, according to CEO Andy Jassy.
Off Amazon, NielsenIQ found 49% of surveyed US consumers had received beauty product recommendations from generative AI tools. McKinsey estimates AI platforms could drive up to 35% of e-commerce transactions within three to five years, and urges brands to structure product content around ingredients, benefits, validation and use cases so AI systems can interpret and recommend it. For accessories, that means answering questions like "which LED mask is safe for sensitive skin" directly in the listing. Our guide on adding keywords to Amazon listings covers the foundations.
Social Commerce Feeds Amazon Search
TikTok Shop now represents 10% of US beauty e-commerce sales, and beauty captured 20% of TikTok Shop dollar spending in Q1 2026, according to Circana. McKinsey expects TikTok beauty sales to reach $4 billion in 2026. Yet much of that demand converts on Amazon: McKinsey points to Medicube, the number-one beauty brand on both Amazon and TikTok Shop in Q1 2026, which often has creators send audiences to its Amazon storefront.
K-Beauty Is Raising the Competitive Bar
More than 1,200 K-beauty brands and 20,000 products are now available on Amazon US, and Korean beauty exports to the US reached $1.45 billion in the first half of 2026, up 41.5%, as reported by BeautyMatter. During Prime Day 2026, Korean products held 29 of the top 100 beauty and personal care bestsellers, per Kyobo Securities. For accessory sellers, that means faster product cycles and sharper creative.
What Are Beauty Accessory Shoppers Willing to Pay?
Less per order, but more often. Numerator's Prime Day 2026 data shows the average order fell to $47.66 from $53.34, 69% of items sold for under $20, and only 3% sold for over $100. Beauty and cosmetics were purchased by 26% of Prime Day buyers, and 57% of shoppers compared Amazon's prices with other retailers first.
Beauty still holds pricing power. NielsenIQ measured global beauty value growth of 10% against 5% unit growth, and rates cosmetics and nail demand as having very low price elasticity (-0.75). Shoppers resist paying more for a basic brush but will pay for a device that proves results.
What Do These Trends Mean for Amazon Beauty Accessory Sellers?
- Write for questions, not just keywords. With Rufus shaping discovery, listings need clear answers on skin type, hair type, materials, compatibility and results, in titles, bullets, A+ Content and backend attributes.
- Refresh creatives at the speed of trends. Accessories sell on demonstration. Brands that can produce new images and short video quickly, including Sponsored Brands Video, will keep pace with TikTok-driven cycles.
- Tie advertising to inventory. Viral spikes cause stockouts, and bidding hard on low stock wastes budget and damages rank. Ad pacing should follow what is actually in the warehouse.
- Budget by margin, not revenue. At sub-$20 price points, fees and ad costs erase profit quickly. Amazon's ad revenue grew 24% to $17.2 billion in Q1 2026, a signal that auctions are only getting more crowded. These proven ways to cut Amazon PPC costs are a good starting point.
- Capture demand created off Amazon. Branded search from social and AI referrals is the highest-intent traffic in beauty. Measuring new-to-brand rates and halo effects shows which campaigns actually grow the customer base.
How Does Xneeti Help Beauty Accessory Brands Scale on Amazon?
Xneeti is a multi-marketplace AI platform built by ex-Amazon category managers and ex-Google engineers, pairing natively built AI with a dedicated account strategist for every account. It was built for sellers who have been let down by agencies before.
