How we evaluated each Amazon advertising agency
We read each agency's service pages, case studies and, where published, its contract terms, then checked its reviews on Clutch, Trustpilot, G2 and Google. Here's what we looked for and why.
- TACoS, not just ACoS. ACoS (ad spend divided by ad sales) is easy to make look good: bid mainly on your own brand name and it drops. TACoS (ad spend divided by total sales) shows whether advertising is growing the whole business. We gave more weight to any agency that manages and report to it.
- Amazon depth. Amazon doesn't work like Google or Meta. We looked for Amazon-specific tactics on the agency's own pages, such as moving converting search terms into exact-match campaigns or cutting spend when stock runs low.
- What happens around the ads. An ad only sends traffic. If the listing converts poorly, the main image loses the click, or the product goes out of stock, the ad money is wasted. So we checked who also handles listings, creative, inventory and account health, like suppressed listings and hijackers.
- Proof you can check. A useful case study names the brand, a starting point, a timeframe and what changed.
- Reviews, read properly. A 5.0 from 30 reviews and a 4.4 from almost 500 mean different things. We also read the complaints.
- Contract terms. First-term length, auto-renewal and notice periods, where the agency publishes them.
What is an Amazon advertising agency?
An Amazon advertising agency runs your paid campaigns on Amazon: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and Amazon DSP (demand-side platform). It handles keyword research, bids and negative keywords to lower ACoS, and uses Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) to build audiences and track results across channels.
Quick comparison table
Each Amazon Advertising agency in detail
1. Canopy Management
Overview: Canopy's advertising work covers Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Amazon DSP, run with a "human led, software driven" approach: its own software flags keywords and wasted spend, and specialists set the strategy. Canopy also handles listing optimization, product photography and video, inventory planning, and FBA reimbursement claims through its Revenue Reclaim service.
Key services:
- Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands management: Canopy runs these ads in three phases. It starts with an audit of how much of your catalog your ads cover and how spend is controlled. It then works to get your top products to the top of page one in search results, and only after that expands into new keywords and campaign types. Its own software finds the best-performing keywords and turns the ones draining budget into negatives, so your ads stop showing for searches that don't convert.
- Bid and budget control: bids are adjusted through what Canopy calls "proprietary systems of checks and balances", and budgets are changed daily to follow your sales and product cycles. ACoS targets are set from your margin, and Canopy recommends a break-even ACoS, meaning you spend up to your profit on each ad sale but not more.
- Amazon DSP: DSP ads reach shoppers using Amazon's own shopping data. That includes remarketing to people who viewed your product, repurchase campaigns for past buyers, and placements on Twitch, Amazon Prime and sites outside Amazon. You don't need custom creative to start, because Canopy builds ads from your listings and videos you already use in your Sponsored Ads. Each account gets a custom Quarterly Planner, check-ins twice a month and a full performance call every fourth week.
- Reporting: dashboards break results down by ad type, product and 18 more metrics. Canopy also builds custom reports for stakeholders or board meetings, and DSP clients can sign in to their own console to check performance directly.
Proof: Baker's Dozen cut ACoS 80% and grew sales 162% in 90 days after products that all sat in one ad group, mostly on broad match, were split into separate campaigns. Source: Baker's Dozen case study
Best for: brands with 1–3 hero products, at least $100K in monthly sales and 100,000 sessions a month, that want to start Amazon DSP with a $5K minimum order rather than the $35K–$50K minimum of Amazon's managed service.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: Canopy doesn't publish its pricing. To find out what your account would cost, book a demo call with its team.
2. My Amazon Guy
Overview: My Amazon Guy (MAG) builds Amazon ad accounts around a fixed set of campaign types, each with one job: protect your brand terms, take share from competitors, or find new keywords. It runs Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, video and Amazon DSP, and uses Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) to plan audiences. MAG also offers full account management, Amazon SEO, listing optimization, listing design and account suspension help.
Key services:
- Sponsored Products campaign build: each campaign has a set role. Your brand terms sit in their own low-spend defensive campaign, competitor brand names sit in another, and auto campaigns are used to discover keywords, with your brand terms negated. Manual campaigns get the most spend. MAG says testing showed fewer than 50 keywords per manual campaign works better than loading hundreds, and it bids higher for top of search.
- Keyword testing by match type: MAG adds each keyword as broad, phrase and exact match, then moves bids toward the format that performs best. Broad match gets the most impressions; exact match gets the fewest but is the most controlled.
- Advertising Cost Reduction: a one-off clean-up of an account that's overspending. It starts from a 25% ACoS goal, cuts irrelevant keyword targets, and pauses any keyword with more than 10 clicks, a CTR under 1% and no sales. Budget then moves to your best-selling ASINs, and bids are reset with a max CPC formula tied to your target cost per sale.
- Amazon DSP: display, video and audio ads on Amazon and on third-party sites, apps and devices, including Prime Video, Fire TV, Twitch and IMDb. Campaigns cover retargeting, competitor and contextual targeting, awareness and repurchase. MAG says "We audit before we sell", checking your traffic, margins and creative before taking on DSP.
- AMC audiences: MAG writes the SQL queries that pull custom audiences from AMC, for example shoppers who viewed two of your ASINs, didn't buy within 14 days and bought from a competitor last quarter. Its monthly DSP report includes DSP-assisted conversions found through AMC.
Proof: K'lani cut TACoS from 20.8% to 9.02% after moving to MAG in Q2 2024. Ad cost fell 56.6% in the first month, and ad sales grew 97% in Q3 and another 60% in Q4, reaching over $111K that quarter. Source: K'lani case study
Best for: brands that want to test Amazon DSP without a long commitment and can fund about $10,000–$15,000 a month for a full-funnel DSP program (management plus media), or start lower with retargeting only. For sellers who mainly need to stop overspending, the Advertising Cost Reduction service starts at $500 per Seller Central account.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: MAG prices some ad work openly. The Advertising Cost Reduction service starts at $500, and its DSP page gives an example of a $1,500 management fee plus $5,000 in prepaid media. Monthly fees for ongoing PPC management aren't listed. Use the "Fast Quote" link or "Book a Call" on its advertising page to get a number.
3. Xneeti
Overview: Xneeti runs Amazon ads as part of AI-native end-to-end management, so one system handles your bids, budgets and the listings your ads send shoppers to. Its AI adjusts bids every hour across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, video and Amazon DSP, with AMC used for attribution, and a dedicated account strategist owns your results. Xneeti also manages listings and SEO, catalog work, creative and inventory forecasting.
Key services:
- Hourly AI bid optimization: bids change every hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and DSP. Most manual teams adjust weekly or every two weeks, so this matters most when competitors move bids overnight.
- Budget pacing and placement bids: budget is spread across the day based on live performance, so your campaigns don't run out of money by mid-morning and go dark while shoppers are still searching. Bids are also managed by placement (top of search, rest of search, product pages).
- N-gram analysis and negatives: Xneeti breaks your search term reports into word patterns (n-grams) to spot the terms wasting spend, then adds negatives before the damage shows up in your ACoS. ASINs are paused automatically when stock isn't live in FBA and switched back on when it arrives.
- Dayparting and competitor keyword harvesting: bids and budgets change by time of day, with budgets adjusted the same day. A growth module finds the keywords that drive competitors' impression share so you can target them first.
- Amazon DSP: Xneeti runs prospecting, retargeting, loyalty and conquest campaigns across display, online video, streaming TV, audio and third-party sites, with audiences built from Amazon's own shopping signals. Its AI moves budget toward the audiences and placements bringing in the most new sales, and the display and video creative is made in-house.
- Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC): AMC shows what the standard ads console can't, such as the path shoppers take across ads before they buy. Xneeti uses it to report new-to-brand sales, halo sales and incremental revenue, so you can see which campaigns actually brought in new customers.
- Change log and reviews: every bid change and budget shift is logged in real time, with what changed, when and why, and you can see it all in Helix. Your strategist runs weekly or biweekly reviews and answers requests the same day.
Proof: one brand grew revenue 154% between April and August 2026, while its monthly ad spend rose from $1,000 to $2,800 and TACoS held near 5%. Source: Xneeti case studies
Best for: brand-registered founders with $1M–$10M in Amazon revenue who want ads and listings run by one team. Xneeti doesn't target sellers under about $500K, resellers or brand-new launches.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: Xneeti's "Full Account. PPC Price." offer starts at $1,499 a month, flat, month-to-month, with no percentage of ad spend.
To see where your account is losing money first, request "Get your free account audit" on its site.
4. SalesDuo
Overview: SalesDuo pairs specialists with Ethan, its in-house AI engine, which reads Amazon Marketing Stream's hourly data to flag pacing changes, wasted spend and odd swings in performance. The specialists make the final calls, and they change "one major lever at a time" so you can see what moved results. SalesDuo also offers listing optimization, Amazon SEO, creative services, account management, and Vendor Central work such as EDI automation and shortage claims.
Key services:
- Sponsored Products, Brands and Display management: campaigns are split by role: discovery, proven terms, brand defense, product targeting, launches and scale. Search terms are harvested into new keywords and negatives every week, and branded and non-branded campaigns are kept apart.
- Placement and bid analysis: SalesDuo compares how your ads convert at top of search, rest of search and on product pages, then tests a measured bid adjustment. It also uses dayparting and hourly signals to shift bids during the day.
- Budget pacing: pacing and major bid shifts are checked daily, along with Buy Box and inventory. If an ASIN loses the Buy Box or runs low on stock, SalesDuo protects your spend, and scaling may pause until the product is ready to convert.
- Amazon DSP and AMC: DSP covers display, online video, streaming TV, CTV and audio, including Prime Video, Freevee, Fire TV and Twitch. Audiences include detail page viewers, cart abandoners, past buyers and competitor shoppers. Where AMC access is available, SalesDuo uses it for audience planning, exclusions and funnel measurement, and DSP results are reported at the SKU level.
Proof: Brownie Brittle's focus ASIN was getting about 2,100 impressions and 30 units a week in April 2022. SalesDuo found top of search converted 55% better than product pages and raised that placement's bid. Impressions passed 14,000 a week and weekly units rose 90% to 57, on the same monthly budget. Source: Brownie Brittle case study
Best for: brands with $100K to $5M+ in revenue that care about margin, not just ad sales, and want product-level profitability tracked. It also suits Vendor Central brands, since SalesDuo covers Vendor Central operations alongside ads.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: SalesDuo says its price isn't "a percentage copied across every brand". Smaller accounts get a starting monthly retainer after an account review, brands with $100K to $5M in revenue get a monthly retainer or hybrid pricing, and $5M+ brands get a custom scope. The quote depends on your ad spend, SKU count, marketplaces and whether DSP or AMC is included. Reach out through its contact page to start the account review.
5. Quartile
Overview: Quartile runs Amazon ads through its own AI platform, built on Amazon Marketing Stream and Amazon Marketing Cloud data, with a dedicated strategist on every account. The software changes bids, budgets and placements on its own, and the team sets the strategy around it. On Amazon it also offers listing and SEO optimization and promotion management.
Key services:
- Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands management: Quartile can build a "single keyword, single ASIN, single match type" campaign structure, or keep the structure you already have. That level of detail lets its platform control the bid, placement and budget for each keyword separately. You can also write your own rules, such as bid or budget changes, and run them daily, weekly or monthly, alongside its AI or in place of it.
- Hourly bidding: bids are adjusted every hour using Amazon Marketing Stream, Amazon's near real-time feed of ad data. The goal is to find the right bid for each keyword and stop paying for clicks that don't convert.
- Amazon DSP with AMC audiences: Quartile uses Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), Amazon's clean-room data tool, to build shopper personas for DSP campaigns. Those audiences cover new-to-brand shoppers, past customers and people browsing competitor products, plus geographic, interest and lifestyle targeting. Campaigns run from awareness through to loyalty, and every DSP customer gets dedicated account support.
- Reporting in the Quartile portal: Sponsored Ads and DSP data sit in one portal with custom reports by channel. One example is its Lifetime Value report, which shows how ads affect repeat buying over time.
Proof: Frogglez Goggles grew sales 62% while raising ad spend only 22% in its 2023 season. Quartile ran Sponsored Brands and product targeting ads, added DSP remarketing in late 2022, and cut spend in winter. ACoS fell 57% and organic sales rose 291% (self-reported). Source: Frogglez Goggles case study
Best for: brands that want software to adjust bids hour by hour, but still want a named strategist, and are happy to sign an annual contract whose fee moves up in tiers as ad spend grows.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: No prices are listed on Quartile's site. Its published terms say you pay a monthly amount based on "Standard Pricing Tiers". Month-to-month is only offered as an exception, at a premium. To know more about pricing for your account, use the Request Demo form on its site.
6. Darkroom
Overview: Darkroom treats Amazon ads as one part of your Amazon P&L. It sets ACoS and TACoS targets from your margins and moves budget into DSP only once search ads are already efficient. On Amazon it also handles SEO and listing optimization, storefront and A+ content, FBA/FBM and inventory planning, and full Seller Central and Vendor Central account management.
Key services:
- Sponsored Ads (PPC) management: Darkroom calls this "the core of our media practice". It covers campaign structure, keyword and ASIN targeting, manual and automated bidding, dayparting and budget pacing across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display. Bids, creative and keywords are adjusted weekly.
- Margin-based ACoS targets: targets change by product stage. Launch campaigns run close to break-even to build rank. Profitability campaigns aim for an ACoS below your contribution margin, which is what's left after product and fulfilment costs.
- Amazon DSP and AMC: DSP, Amazon's programmatic display and video buying, is managed together with Sponsored Ads and AMC as one system, with incrementality testing and attribution models. Darkroom only adds DSP once your Sponsored Ads are efficient, because below that point it says the same money does more in search and listings.
Proof: For energy drink brand Gorgie, Darkroom organized campaigns by intent: branded defense, category terms, competitor conquesting and product-level. Gorgie got sponsored placements on page one for all 352 tracked keywords, 45 of them at #1. TACoS came in at 18% against a 29% forecast (self-reported; no timeframe given). Source: Gorgie case study
Best for: multichannel brands above roughly $5M in revenue (Darkroom's homepage says the fit is poor below that) that want Amazon ads planned against contribution margin, with a full account audit and a 90-day revenue roadmap in the first month.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: Darkroom's site says pricing depends on scope, goals and scale, and that most full-service Amazon programs combine a management fee with performance-based incentives. It doesn't list figures. For a scoped proposal, book a call or request the free 30-minute Amazon audit on its Amazon page.
7. Amazon Growth Lab
Overview: Amazon Growth Lab's PPC work is built around a fixed monitoring schedule: campaigns are checked daily, bids and negatives change weekly and structure is reviewed monthly. It focuses on TACoS, not just ACoS. It also offers Amazon account management, listing optimization, creative services, inventory management and revenue recovery.
Key services:
- Keyword research and campaign structure: keywords come from search term reports, long-tail variations and competitor campaigns, checked with Helium 10, Jungle Scout and Brand Analytics. Campaigns mix automatic and manual types, use exact, phrase and broad match, and are split by product line, margin and goal. Branded terms get their own defense campaigns so competitors can't take that traffic cheaply.
- Sponsored Products, Brands and Display: for Sponsored Products, keywords are tested weekly and winners are moved into scaling campaigns. Sponsored Brands work covers headlines, product selection and A/B tests of the creative. Sponsored Display is used for retargeting and competitor targeting on and off Amazon.
- Bids, negatives and TACoS: bids change with performance, competition, time of day and season. Negative keywords are added every week, which Amazon Growth Lab says typically saves 20 to 30% (self-reported).
- Amazon DSP: display, video, audio and streaming TV ads on Prime Video, Fire TV, Twitch and outside sites. Audiences include recent product viewers, cart abandoners, past buyers and competitor viewers, as well as your own uploaded customer data and lookalikes.
- Ad reporting: weekly email updates, monthly reports, quarterly business reviews and a 24/7 dashboard. Results are tracked on ACoS, TACoS, ROAS, ad-attributed revenue and organic rank.
Proof: Mavi Jeans' ACoS fell from 42.5% to 22% and TACoS from 27.25% to 16% within six months of starting in July 2024. Amazon Growth Lab used branded defense ads, ranking campaigns, modified broad match and top-of-search bid multipliers, alongside a listing overhaul (self-reported). Source: Mavi Jeans case study
Best for: Amazon-only sellers between $50K and $10M+ in revenue who want month-to-month PPC with weekly emails, monthly reports and quarterly reviews, including new launches budgeting 30 to 40% of revenue for ads at first, as its FAQ suggests.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: You won't find fees on Amazon Growth Lab's site. What it does publish is guidance on ad budget: usually 5 to 20% of revenue, depending on category and margins. To get a quote, start with the free PPC audit or schedule a strategy call from its PPC page.
8. BellaVix
Overview: BellaVix runs Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and Amazon DSP as one full-funnel program, with a named senior strategist on each account. Its PPC work is built around campaign structure first, then held to a profit target rather than a click target. BellaVix also handles Seller and Vendor Central account management, Amazon SEO and listing content, and creative such as images, A+ Content and Storefronts.
Key services:
- Sponsored Products management: campaigns are split by intent: branded defense, competitor conquesting, high-intent long-tail and discovery. Each group gets its own bid logic and target. Search term reports are worked every week, so negative keywords (searches you block your ads from) go in before wasted spend builds up.
- Sponsored Brands management: BellaVix uses these top-of-search ads to defend your brand searches and push high-volume category terms. Traffic goes to Store pages instead of a single product page. Headlines and assets are tested rather than left the same for months.
- Sponsored Display and Amazon DSP: these ads retarget shoppers who viewed your product but didn't buy, and defend your detail pages from competitor ads. DSP adds display, video and audio ads on Amazon, Prime Video, Twitch, IMDb and outside sites, with audiences planned for each stage from awareness to loyalty. BellaVix notes DSP usually carries a minimum spend of $10K to $35K+ and says it can help brands get in more cheaply through managed service partnerships.
- Reporting: you get weekly performance summaries, monthly in-depth reports and quarterly strategy reviews. Metrics tracked include ROAS, CTR, CPC, conversion rate and TACoS.
Proof: a supplement brand's ROAS rose from 6.92 to 12.25 and ACoS fell from 14.45% to 8.16% after BellaVix moved bids into peak hours (for example 3 PM to 8 PM on Mondays). Weekly sales went from $230.84 to $827.84 without a bigger daily budget. Source: Dayparting case study
Best for: Seller or Vendor Central brands that can put at least $1,000 per product per month into PPC, which is BellaVix's recommended starting budget, and want Sponsored ads and DSP run by the same team.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: BellaVix says most clients pay a monthly retainer, sized to your catalog, marketplaces and goals. You can request a free PPC account audit or book a strategy call to get a number.
9. Flywheel
Overview: Flywheel's Amazon advertising work pairs a managed media team with its own software, Flywheel Commerce Cloud, and leans heavily on Amazon Marketing Cloud data. It says it is "the largest consumer" of AMC data. Flywheel also offers product page content, brand stores, brand protection, fee recovery and supply chain support.
Key services:
- Paid search (Sponsored ads): goals can be set around sales growth instead of only ROAS. Its tools handle intraday bidding (changing bids during the day), rule-based bidding, placement targeting and goal-based bidding powered by Perpetua.
- Amazon DSP and streaming TV: Flywheel runs display and video through Amazon DSP, including streaming TV and online video. Its software builds audiences, creatives and line items, and it claims 20% more efficiency than native retailer ad consoles.
- Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC): AMC is Amazon's data workspace for seeing how shoppers move between ads before buying. Flywheel uses the AMC Audience builder to turn findings into targeting, and its CLTV dashboard uses five years of AMC purchase data to report new-to-brand sales, returning sales and customer lifetime value.
Proof: a home essentials brand paired Criteo Commerce Audiences with 16 Amazon in-market segments, running August to October 2025. Shoppers reached by both viewed product pages at 2.18x the rate, the Criteo plus Sponsored Brands plus Sponsored Products path showed a 62% conversion lift, and 92% of purchases that began with Criteo were new to brand. Source: Criteo and Amazon Ads case study
Best for: enterprise CPG brands (Flywheel says it works with more than 50 of the top 100 listed CPG companies) that want AMC audiences and incrementality measurement built into their Amazon ads.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: Flywheel doesn't publish prices, minimums or contract terms. Its Clutch search turns up a different company with the same name, so there's no reliable third-party figure. To get pricing, use the "Let's connect" form on its site.
10. Acadia
Overview: Acadia is an Amazon Ads Advanced Partner that runs its sponsored ads, DSP and AMC work on Pacvue software, with its own tools built on top. It argues that too much focus on ROAS hurts long-term growth, so its reporting adds forward-looking metrics. Acadia also offers full channel management for Seller and Vendor Central, listing optimization with A+ content, and operations and brand protection support.
Key services:
- Amazon PPC on Pacvue: Acadia uses Pacvue to set dayparting rules (bids that change by time of day), automate bids and placement modifiers, and automatically harvest keywords that convert. Budget is split across ad types, bidding strategies and targeting based on the stage of the buying journey. You're matched with specialists for your ad goals and product category.
- Daily Watchdog Dashboard: this is Acadia's own dashboard on top of Pacvue for tracking spend and sales every day. It matters most during big events like Prime Day, when spend allocation can shift fast.
- Amazon DSP: Acadia has had a dedicated DSP seat since 2017 and can resell DSP seats, so you can own your own DSP entity at its reduced platform fee. It uses DSP to test creative messages and track new-to-brand sales.
- DSP metrics framework: its "Fit For Purpose" framework, published in 2023, lists 23 metrics matched to audience types. For example, competitor retargeting is judged on detail page views and brand searches, and repurchase audiences on Subscribe and Save sign-ups.
- Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC): Acadia says it is an AMC services provider and one of only 5 agencies worldwide recognized by Amazon for AMC services. It uses AMC to show how awareness campaigns affect lower-funnel PPC and DSP results, and its analytics team can add your own first-party data to AMC.
Proof: a mid-market pet brand moved its Amazon US ads from automatic targeting to manual keyword targeting and added Sponsored Brands and video ads. Within a month, US customer acquisition cost fell 46% and US revenue grew 12.16%, while non-branded sales in Canada rose 145.4%. Source: Pet brand case study
Best for: Seller or Vendor Central brands that want to run Amazon DSP under their own DSP entity instead of through an agency-owned seat, and that care about new-to-brand growth more than short-term ROAS.
Pros and cons:
Pricing: Acadia's site doesn't list pricing, minimum spend or contract length. For a price, click "Talk to an Expert" or "Get Started" on its site.

How to choose the right Amazon advertising agency
Decide between PPC-only and full-service
If your listings, images and stock levels are already in good shape, a PPC-focused team may be all you need. If ads are being held back by weak listings, stockouts or suppressed products, you'll get more from a partner that handles those too. Otherwise you'll be coordinating several vendors yourself.
Shortlist three, and ask each for an audit
Talking to more than a handful of agency teams blurs the differences. Pick three that fit your size, and ask each one to review your account before pitching. A good audit gives you a prioritised list of what's broken, such as a campaign structure leaking spend, a main image losing clicks, or missing backend keywords. A generic deck tells you nothing about how they'd handle your account.
Meet the person who'll actually run your account
The strategist on the sales call is often not the person who logs in every day. Ask to meet your account manager, find out how many other brands they handle, and ask to see a redacted report from a current client.
Make sure ads and inventory talk to each other
Running ads on a product that's about to sell out wastes money and can cost you organic rank once stock returns. Ask how the agency slows spend when stock runs low, and how it plans ahead of Prime Day.
Understand the pricing model
Most agency teams here don't publish prices, so ask which model your quote uses:
- Flat fee or retainer: predictable, and it doesn't rise just because you spend more on ads.
- Percentage of ad spend: the fee grows with your budget, which can reward spending more rather than earning more.
- Hybrid: a base fee plus a bonus tied to results. Ask exactly what the bonus is measured on; total sales after returns, or a TACoS target, is fairer than ad-attributed revenue.
Read the contract before you sign
Check the first-term length, auto-renewal and notice period. Month-to-month terms, like Amazon Growth Lab's, let you leave if results don't come. A one-year auto-renewing term, like Quartile's, means planning your exit date in advance.
Watch for red flags
- Guaranteed first-page rankings or "double your sales in 30 days", promised before anyone has looked at your margins or stock.
- Reports that only show ACoS, impressions and clicks.
- Reporting that doesn't match what you see in Seller Central.
- No case study from a brand of your size or category.
Finally, you can check any agency's status in Amazon's official Partner Directory before your first call.
Questions to ask before you sign
For each question, here's what a strong answer sounds like, and what should make you cautious.
- Which metric do you manage my account to? Strong: TACoS and total sales, with ACoS used per campaign. Weak: ACoS alone.
- What would you change in my current campaigns first? Strong: specific issues from their audit. Weak: "we'll restructure everything."
- How do you separate branded, non-branded and competitor targeting?
- How often are bids and budgets updated, and by people, software or both?
- Will you also work on my listings and images, or only on ads?
- What happens to ad spend when a product is close to selling out? Strong: a clear rule for slowing spend. Weak: "let us know when stock is low."
- Who will log in to my account day to day, and how many other brands do they manage?
- Will I keep admin access to my Seller Central and Ads accounts? The only good answer is yes.
- Can you share a case study from a brand of my size and category, with starting numbers?
- What should I expect by day 30, 60 and 90, and what are the exit terms if results stall?
Conclusion
The best Amazon advertising agency for you depends on what's holding your account back. Canopy Management and My Amazon Guy offer broad full-service coverage. Xneeti fits brand-registered sellers who want hourly bidding, ads that pause when stock runs out, and listings handled by the same team. SalesDuo and BellaVix are strong on Vendor Central. Quartile and Flywheel lean on their own software, while Darkroom and Acadia suit larger brands with wider media programs. Amazon Growth Lab fits sellers who want a pure Amazon specialist.
Shortlist them, ask each for an audit, and compare their answers on TACoS, account ownership, inventory planning and contract terms.
