Key Takeaways

  1. 1

The UK is Amazon’s third-largest market and is getting £40 billion of new investment from 2025 to 2027.

  2. 2

Around 100,000 UK SMEs sell on Amazon, so competition for clicks is intense.

  3. 3

UK specialists exist outside London too, so judge by evidence rather than postcode.

  4. 4

Partner badges are a baseline, not proof of fit. Ask for category-specific results.

  5. 5

For US expansion, a US-native partner usually beats a UK playbook adapted for Amazon.com.

The UK is Amazon’s third-largest market after the US and Germany, according to TechRadar. In June 2025, Amazon announced plans to invest £40 billion in the UK between 2025 and 2027, including four new fulfilment centres and upgrades to more than 100 existing sites (About Amazon UK).

For UK brands, that investment means faster delivery and more shoppers on Amazon.co.uk. It also means more competition. Around 100,000 UK small and medium-sized businesses already sell on Amazon, according to About Amazon UK.

This guide covers nine agencies managing Amazon advertising for UK brands in 2026. Each was assessed on:

  • A UK presence, or a clear note where a partner serves the UK remotely
  • Amazon Ads partner status, SPN membership and other Amazon recognition
  • Amazon as the core business rather than a side service
  • Capability across the UK, EU and US marketplaces
  • Evidence that can be checked independently

What makes Amazon advertising in the UK different

A big, mature and crowded marketplace

UK B2C e-commerce turnover reached around €150 billion in 2024 on a goods-only basis, according to the European E-commerce Report 2025 as summarised by Eightx. That puts the UK among Europe’s largest online markets alongside France and Germany.

Around 60% of Amazon’s physical product sales come from third-party sellers, according to About Amazon UK. In practice, most UK brands compete against other independent sellers, not just Amazon itself.

UK sellers are exporters

Small businesses selling on Amazon in the UK recorded more than £3.8 billion in export sales in 2023 (About Amazon UK). Since Brexit, selling into the EU from the UK involves separate VAT, customs and fulfilment decisions, so advertising in Germany or France is rarely a simple copy of UK campaigns.

The best UK agencies can manage Amazon.co.uk, the EU stores and Amazon.com, or are honest about which of those they do not cover.

Regional growth is part of Amazon’s UK plan

Amazon has stressed that its UK growth is not limited to the capital. CEO Andy Jassy said of the £40 billion plan:

“When Amazon invests, it’s not only in London and the South East”

The same is true of the agency market. Some of the UK’s Amazon specialists are based outside London, including Middlesbrough’s Seller Presto, whose founder has noted that Amazon-specialist agencies are in short supply in the UK (Prolific North).

Strong sellers are spread across the country

Amazon’s UK SME Impact Report found that SMEs based in Manchester, Belfast and Glasgow recorded some of the highest average annual revenues on Amazon, surpassing the average for London-based sellers. The same report said around 50,000 UK sellers used Fulfilment by Amazon and grew sales by 25% on average, and that SMEs selling on Amazon had created 250,000 UK jobs to date (About Amazon UK).

More than 15,000 UK SMEs passed £100,000 in Amazon sales in that period, and over 700 reached £1 million for the first time. Many of the brands competing with you on Amazon.co.uk are therefore established, well-funded businesses.

Export potential is still largely untapped

Research by the Social Market Foundation, sponsored by Amazon, modelled that up to 70,000 more UK SMEs could export through ecommerce, generating an economic gain of £9.3 billion and supporting 152,000 additional jobs (ChannelX). For UK brands, that makes international advertising capability a growth lever rather than a nice-to-have.

Amazon itself is one of the UK’s largest private-sector employers, with more than 75,000 staff, and says it has invested over £75 billion in UK operations over the last decade (TechRadar, CILT UK).

Faster delivery raises shopper expectations

Amazon said it delivered more than 1.6 billion items same or next day to UK Prime members in 2025, according to ChannelX. When Prime delivery is the norm, any stockout or loss of Prime eligibility quickly hits both organic rank and ad efficiency.

The auction is getting more expensive

Amazon’s global advertising revenue reached $68.6 billion in 2025, up 22% year on year (Marketplace Pulse). Across Europe, Amazon took around €10.5 billion of the €14.3 billion spent on retail media in 2024, according to IAB Europe figures cited by IntoTheMinds.

More advertisers chasing the same shoppers means agencies have to optimise more often and measure profit, not just ROAS.

Understanding Amazon partner badges

UK agencies quote a range of Amazon credentials. They are useful signals, but they mean different things:

Credential

What it signals

Amazon Ads Verified Partner

Meets Amazon Ads’ baseline requirements and certifications

Amazon Ads Advanced Partner

Demonstrated expertise and results across a broader range of Amazon Ads products

Service Provider Network (SPN)

Listed by Amazon as a provider of seller services

Global Selling Solution Provider

Listed for helping sellers expand internationally

Amazon Ads Partner Awards finalist

Recognised by Amazon for specific campaign or growth results

Badges confirm a baseline, not fit. Always ask for case studies in your category and marketplace.

What Amazon advertising agencies cost in the UK

Very few UK Amazon agencies publish pricing. Common models include monthly retainers, percentage of ad spend and hybrids. When comparing quotes:

  • Ask whether the fee sits on top of ad spend or includes it
  • Check whether creative, A+ content and DSP are included
  • Confirm whether EU or US marketplaces cost extra
  • Compare in the same currency, as some providers quote in USD

Xneeti charges a flat $999 to $1,999 per month (USD) with no percentage of ad spend. Our Amazon PPC cost guide: agency vs in-house vs AI explains the trade-offs.

Questions to ask a UK Amazon advertising agency

  1. Which Amazon partner tiers do you hold, and can you show them in Amazon’s partner directory?
  2. Who manages my account day to day, and where are they based?
  3. Do you manage EU marketplaces and Amazon.com, or only Amazon.co.uk?
  4. How do you handle post-Brexit VAT and fulfilment for EU campaigns?
  5. How often do bids change, and what triggers a change?
  6. Is your fee flat, or a percentage of ad spend?
  7. Which metrics will you report: ACoS, TACoS, total sales, new-to-brand?

Why Xneeti works for UK brands going to the US

UK sellers already export more than £3.8 billion a year through Amazon. For those ready to take on the US, Xneeti offers an AI platform built by former Amazon and Google insiders, with a dedicated strategist and a flat fee.
